Dear Chamber Member:
In an effort to expand and diversify business opportunities for our membership,
The Evanston Chamber is launching the first of what we hope will be regularly scheduled
meetings with trade representatives from growing world economies.
On Thursday, August 7, The Evanston Chamber is proud to welcome Mr. Ranjit
Butani to our offices to discuss trade opportunities for Evanston businesses with
India, the second largest country in the world. Mr. Butani’s company, Butex Project
Services, Pvt., Ltd., seeks to undertake business development in India for companies
wishing to do business in the areas of consumer products, capital equipment, and
services.
The purpose of this visit is to introduce Evanston Chamber members to India’s
economy and to gain an understanding of how best to set up trade relationships with
key India leaders. More important, Mr. Butani will meet individually with representatives
from Evanston companies to address their specific needs and interests.
The format is simple: if you are interested in meeting with Mr. Butani,
please call The Evanston Chamber today and we will schedule a time between 10:00
a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7 for you to meet.
Mr. Butani has a wide array of experience in several sectors of the Indian
economy including manufacturing, energy/power, textiles, engineering, gems, and
jewelry. He has also worked closely with many Chambers of Commerce and trade organizations.
At a time when there is much uncertainty in the U.S. about the economy,
The Evanston Chamber wants to provide every available avenue for local businesses
to find partnerships, suppliers, and new markets for their products and services.
I hope you will consider making an appointment to meet with Mr. Ranjit Butani and
learn what opportunities might benefit your company with the growing country of
India.
The Chamber would like to thank Intra World Travel & Tours and faculty
from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management for their assistance
with this special program.
Sincerely,
Mr. Jonathan Perman
Executive Director
